You can’t be in Minnesota long without seeing a lot of stores that sell wild rice. Wild rice comes from four species of tall grasses in North America where the grain is used as rice. If you’ve never had it, I highly recommend you try it. It has a delicious chewiness and nutty flavor that makes it superior to its more well known cousin white rice. After spending so much time in Minnesota, I got the bug to make more things with wild rice and I found this wonderful recipe for Wild Rice soup that everyone loved and has a great review on All Recipes.
